"The Principle of the Path: How to get from where you are to where you want to be" by Andy Stanley is a very engaging book. It tackles tough issues and provides reasonable solutions. While the book is geared towards Christians and focuses on God's guidance, the book is not all sunshine and lollipops. Stanley takes the daring leap to talk about failing marriages, dead-end jobs, bankruptcy, unhappiness, and more.
Many strategies are described throughout the book. In general, Stanley encourages readers to focus on their goals. He wants them to rely on God and not be self-centered. Also, there must be a destruction of the want factor. Several examples are given to illustrate this. Bible verses and stories are quoted that relate to the topics Stanley brings up.
