It can be hard living modestly, knowing you'd turn more heads than some other lady if you wore the same thing she was wearing or did your hair / makeup like her. Modesty doesn't mean you look ugly but it also means you don't flaunt your beauty for just anybody. You cover up (to the degree which you are comfortable) not out of shame but to save your beauty for one man who deserves it, your husband. Also, while beauty can be concealed, it can never be truly hidden. Even in a floor length gown, a guy can tell a lady is slender. Even without an ounce of makeup, a guy can tell a lady has good skin.
